About Daleya Yeasmin

Daleya Yeasmin is the founder and principal teacher of Daleya Bangla Music School (Daleya Sangeet Niketon) in Ottawa, Canada. With a deep passion for Bengali classical and folk music, she established the school to preserve and share the rich musical heritage of Bangladesh with the Bengali community in Canada.

Trained in the classical traditions of Bangla music, Daleya Yeasmin brings years of experience as a performer and educator. Her teaching philosophy centers on nurturing each student's love of music while grounding them in authentic Bengali musical traditions — from classical ragas to folk songs and devotional music.

Through Daleya Sangeet Niketon, she has created a welcoming space where students of all ages can learn, grow, and celebrate Bengali culture through music. Her students regularly perform at community events across Ottawa, proudly representing their heritage on stage.
